After the blissful breakfast, Leon gathered everyone on his team—Fel, Cassie, and Miguel.

He took them out of the camp to an area where a few zombies still roamed around. After confirming that they were alone, he turned to face them.

His gaze fell on Fel before shifting to Miguel and Cassie.

"Just three of you, huh?"

Reaching into his storage ring, he took out an ability scroll and handed it to Fel.

"You should have this. Although your poison cloud can make enemies isolate you, it doesn’t really defend you.

Fel took the scroll and examined it. Her eyes widened. "Isn’t this...?"

Leon nodded. "Although it consumes a lot of mana, ten undead warriors who are only five levels weaker than you should provide enough defense."

Fel bit her lip and nodded. "Thank you."

She knew how valuable this ability was, and she didn’t foolishly reject it out of courtesy. She was well aware of her own weakness, and Reymond’s actions only made it more obvious.

Leon turned to Cassie. She had that unreadable expression on her face, making it very hard to know what she was feeling.

He reached into his storage ring and took out a pair of black boots.

"These are for you. They’re Tier One and grants a greater agility boost," He said as he handed them to her.

"Thank you," She said gratefully. "I’ll use it well."

Leon finally turned to Miguel. The blonde guy was already full of eagerness, wondering what he would receive.

Leon patted his shoulder and smiled. "Grow stronger, big guy."

Miguel’s expression cracked. "Boss... I’m not getting anything?"

"What? Do you think I’m sharing gifts?" Leon gave him a stink-eye.

Holding the boots in her hand, Cassie’s eyes narrowed. "Are you going somewhere?"

Leon turned to her and nodded.

"Where?" She asked, her tone demanding.

Avoiding her gaze, he said, "A faraway land."

Cassie’s lips twitched, and she stepped forward. "Where are you going, boss?"

He patted her shoulder. "You don’t need to know. Just know that I’ll be gone for a while. You guys stay in Bayonne until I return. And if you can head back to the city, you’re free to."

Fel’s eyes widened. "How long will you be gone?"

He rubbed his nose. "I’m not sure. Probably a month or two. It shouldn’t take too long."

"Boss... that’s about sixty days," Miguel said, his expression mirroring Fel’s. "What are you going to do?"

"Ugh. Why are you all interrogating me?" Leon rolled his eyes. "Anyway, I’m just going somewhere for my evolution requirements, and it’s private. I can’t share the details."

He had no intention of telling them he would be going to another world. Otherwise, he might not be able to stop Cassie from following him.

Even now, she was already staring at him with a look that could easily peel oranges without a knife.

’What a weirdo. Her exes must have suffered from extreme clinginess.’

Rubbing his forehead, he continued. "I’ll be leaving the control of the Titanbreaker Legion in Gwen’s hands. But since she might not necessarily be at the warfront, Miguel will lead them. You probably won’t have to fight any battles, though. Bayonne is pretty peaceful. All in all, you guys are to work well with her and stay alive."

Fel and Miguel nodded, while Cassie remained unmoving. Leon pretended not to notice her dissatisfaction.

"Now, then. Let’s head back. I need to speak with Gwen and Selene."

Cassie’s lips curled into a frown, and it looked like she wanted to say something. However, Fel grabbed her hand and shook her head.

Leon had already begun walking, so they quickly followed behind him. Rubbing the shoulder Leon had patted earlier, Miguel walked next to him.

"Boss... is there really nothing for me?"

Glancing around, Leon spotted a half-wrecked car with its keys still intact. He pulled out the keys and handed it to Miguel.

"There. Happy birthday."

Miguel’s expression soured, while Fel’s lips trembled in an attempt to hold back a laugh.

Before long, they returned to the camp. Bliss was once again busy with the administration of the camp, being supported by Arnold. There were a few things she had learned from the Newark Camp, and she wanted to implement them immediately.

Knowing she was busy, Leon decided she’d be the last person he’d pay a visit. He quickly found the three childhood friends sitting together near Mark’s house, enjoying the fresh, relaxing air.

Telling them he was leaving wasn’t particularly difficult. Gwen was troubled and looked disturbed, while Reymond looked surprised and strangely relieved. Perhaps he needed time to recover from the tension between them.

As for Selene, she showed no reaction whatsoever. She simply asked, "When are you going?"

For some reason, Leon felt like he shouldn’t tell her. Still, he shrugged and said, "Tomorrow."

She nodded and went silent again. After leaving them behind, he gathered the Titanbreaker Legion and began distributing abilities and traits again. By now, about fifty of them had reached Tier One, further boosting the strength of the army.

Leon was very pleased with their progress, and he ordered them not to grow complacent. The world wasn’t stagnant, and they needed to keep improving.

After leaving them behind, he picked up his phone and messaged Marie. Coincidentally, the woman was on her phone and online too.

He inquired about the city, intentionally phrasing it as a camp. The reports he received were pleasing to the ear.

The entire Outer Ring wall had been reinforced by the slime metal, and they were already moving on to the Inner Ring wall. Thanks to the presence of the fearsome Tier Two crocodile—Swampy—very few Tier Two creatures from the forest bothered them.

As for the only one that had dared to attack, Marie had assisted Swampy in killing it, then fed half of the corpse to the crocodile. The human army was growing stronger, gaining more Tier One Evolvers and new recruits. Marie was also on the path to complete her Tier Two evolution requirements. Nora had also become Tier One, though she hadn’t reached her mother’s level yet.

Leon smiled at the news, then informed her that he would be out of contact for a long while. Marie was obviously worried, but she was far more understanding than he expected.

She simply wished him good luck and asked him to return safely. Leon promised to do that.

By evening, he visited Bliss and explained to her that his people would be staying in her camp until he returned or they had to leave. Naturally, Bliss wasn’t against that. Instead, she was more concerned about his lonely journey and wished him good luck.

’This should give Miguel some time to bond with her. If he isn’t dumb, that is.’

Looking at the moon hanging in the sky, he wondered, "Would I still be in the Milky Way Galaxy by this time tomorrow?"
